WD MODULE FOR DIFFUSION DIALYSIS

WD-MODULE

The spiral membrane module WD is used for continuous and stationary wastewater treatment. It enables highest recycling rates of free acid and free bases solutions. Optimally suited for the separation of metal salts from free acids and free bases in treatment baths. The following industries can be mentioned as examples of applications:

Surface technology, the PCB industry and the semiconductor industry.

ADVANTAGES OF BATH CARE WITH THE MODULE WD
STRONG PERFORMANCE
The spiral membrane module WD achieves the highest recovery rates.

Acid

In an anodizing process, up to 95% of the free acid can be recovered while less than 5% of the aluminum is returned to the bath (at the appropriate volume flow ratio).

Base

In a bases recovery process, the spiral membrane module WD achieves at least 70% recovery of the free bases.

Metal

Due to the high separation efficiency, valuable metals can also be reused at the highest value level.

LIFECYCLE COSTS - OPERATING COSTS
Due to the higher efficiency and the recycling of the recovered raw materials, the lifecycle costs are significantly reduced compared to comparable processes:

- No compressed air used (energy saving)

- Less aids required (material savings)

- Less wastewater (saving wastewater costs)

The replacement of the spiral membrane module causes only a fraction of the costs compared to conventional membrane devices for bath care.

ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS
Efficient bath care by spiral membrane modules enables an almost complete recovery of free acids/bases/metal salts. These raw materials can be reused at the highest value level. The amount of wastewater is reduced by up to 70 % compared to competitive processes. Subsequent disposal processes will also become more energy and cost efficient, and limit values and environmental guidelines will be easier to comply with.

COMPACT & MODULAR DESIGN
The Spiral membrane modules provide a huge volume of specific membrane area resulting in a significantely higher metal purge compared to conventional stack membrane devices. Thanks to the modular design, our spiral membrane modules are flexibly configurable, easily scalable and can be integrated cost-effectively. This design also enables high process availability and short maintenance times.

VARIANTS OF THE MODULE WD
We offer a wide range of variants of our spiral membrane module WD to meet your specific requirements.
We offer two different performance sizes. WD10 with 5-15 l/h flow and WD20 with 10-30 l/h flow. Furthermore, we use different special membranes depending on the application. Thus we are able to regenerate various acids and bases (1001/1002/2004). Depending on the application, we select the right module for your maximum benefit. On our data sheets you will find specifications of common standard applications:

PLANT ENGINEERING
We offer our WD membrane spiral wound modules individually for end customers and plant manufacturers. In addition, there is the possibility to purchase the matching plant. In parallel to the individual construction, we currently offer the following variants:
DDP1
Automated system for smaller applications. Equipped with one to three spiral membrane modules.

+ Extremely compact, storage containers and filter are integrated in the system.

PP2-DB
Optimal system for practical tests, especially long duration field tests. Equipped with up to two spiral membrane modules.

+ Flow variation with different types of flow restrictors possible.

DS10
Modular box for larger applications. Equipped with up to 10 spiral membrane modules.

+ Compact, stackable design. (Picture: Two stacked modular boxes with a total of 20 spiral membrane modules.)

+ Parallel connection to a central supply unit.
